Duration: This is a temporary position from 12 May to 2 September 2026. You will work a minimum of 35 hours, between 09:00-17:00 Monday-Friday. During the Castle Concerts and Tattoo periods there will be an expectation to work 46 hours, between the hours of 13:30-21:30 hours Monday-Friday and 12:00-18:00 hours on Saturdays (plus Friday 28 August). You will be on duty every performance night.

Castle Concerts run from 10 - 19 July. The Tattoo runs from 7 – 29 August, with performances on Monday – Saturday. There will also be a Preview performance on 6 August.


Job Purpose Summary:
The Commercial Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to the Commercial Team to assist in the delivery of sponsorship, hospitality and commercial activity. This role is primarily administrative and coordination-based, supporting the team with organisation, documentation and logistics rather than leading commercial activity.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Sponsorship & Commercial Administration: Maintain accurate records of sponsorship agreements and asset trackers, update prospect and partner contact details.
  • Partner Servicing Support: Coordinate ticket allocations and hospitality guest lists, assist with tracking delivery of agreed partner benefits, prepare documentation for partner meetings, support collation of information for end-of-season reporting.
  • Event Logistics Support: Assist with guest list administration, manage RSVP tracking, prepare name badges and event materials, provide on-site support where required.
  • CRM & Data Entry: Maintain accurate CRM data entry, update contact records.
  • Hospitality Support: Support inventory tracking, process internal ticket requests, assist with reconciliation of ticket allocations, assist hospitality team with adhoc jobs as required.
  • General Administrative Support: Diary coordination, scheduling meetings, managing shared commercial folders, supporting invoice processing and basic financial tracking.

Essential Criteria:

  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Reliable, methodical and a high attention to detail.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Comfortable working with spreadsheets and documents.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Understanding of military traditions, arts, and culture is advantageous.
  • Experience in administration or events.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems.
  • Interest in live events.

Located at: 1-3 Cockburn Street, regularly working onsite at The Edinburgh Castle Arena

Rate of Pay: £13.45 per hour
