Performer Support Group (PSG) Representative
Based at: Edinburgh (Residential)
Rate of pay: from £3,300 lump sum
Duration: This is a temporary position from 21 July – 27 August 2025. Your normal working week is 48 hours. Shifts will be allocated on a rota basis, and you will be ‘on call’ for some periods. PSG Representatives receive a fixed fee and are not remunerated on an hourly rate. To support your duties, we will provide you with food and accommodation during this time.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Meet groups on arrival and accompany on departure, make freight arrangements, organise luggage transfers and storage as required.
- Respond to welfare, medical and discipline issues as they arise – on-call rota to provide 24hour point of contact within the PSG – and follow reporting structure for escalation/awareness as required.
- Ensure performers are aware of their schedules, updated on all notices for their attention and return forms as required.
- Arrange repairs or other ad hoc services in response to weather.
- Investigate any incidents, following agreed procedures and reporting any issues to Supervisor.
- Prepare assigned performer group schedules and plan ‘performer experience’ activity.
- Contribute to daily (and end of Season) reporting to the Production Logistics Manager(s) including any issues arising with transport, feeding, chaperoning arrangements etc.
- Be familiar with and enforce compliance with company policies. Understand responsibilities towards the health and safety of all categories of performers.
- Communicate with Production/Event Control in the event of an emergency and follow instruction for performer movement.
- Present a positive impression of the company and uphold our values in all activity.
- Any other reasonable tasks as requested by the Tattoo.
Essential Criteria:
- Excellent organisation and co-ordination skills.
- Approachable, confident, and diplomatic communicator.
- Experience of building positive, respectful, and appropriate relationships with stakeholders during short periods.
- Practical leadership and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Experience working with event-based stakeholders.
- A proactive and flexible attitude.
- 18+ years old.
Desirable Criteria:
- Clean UK driving licence (23+ years old).
- Experience of planning and delivering visit programmes.
- Previous liaison experience.
- Experience in event organisation.
- Foreign language.
- First aid.
- Military or musical background.
