About the Tattoo: The Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo is a world-class event, rooted in Scottish tradition, offering audiences an experience like no other. Performed to a live audience of 220,000 each year on the iconic esplanade of Edinburgh Castle, the Tattoo showcases creativity through music, precision performances and dance from military and cultural acts from around the globe.

Duration: This is a temporary position between 24 February – 5 September 2025. The normal working week is 35 hours between 09:00-17:00 Monday to Friday. During the event period (late July and August) hours will be arranged between 09:00-18:00 including Saturdays and you may be asked to work additional (paid) hours.
Job Purpose Summary: Assisting with a range of tasks to support the smooth operation of the seasonal recruitment and staffing lifecycle to build a strong team to support the iconic Edinburgh event and concert series. On occasion, you may also be required to cover Reception duties.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist with the seasonal recruitment process including monitoring incoming applications, arranging interviews and issuing employment paperwork via Staff Savvy.
- Answer incoming enquiries via telephone and email relating to the recruitment process.
- Support the set-up and administration of pre-event training sessions.
- Support line managers with the use of staff management tools.
- Track welfare and performance reviews.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll information is provided.
- Participate in the review of annual arrangements and inform planning for the next season.
- Provide assistance/cover for Business Support colleagues.
Essential Criteria:
- Strong interpersonal skills
- A positive and flexible attitude
- Excellent administrative and computer skills, in particular a working knowledge of MS Office.
- Attentive to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Interest in HR/People.
- Experience in customer service.
- English at Higher/A level (or equivalent).
Desirable Criteria:
- Previous HR experience or previous Tattoo experience
Based at: 1-3 Cockburn Street, Edinburgh
Rate of Pay: £12.60 per hour
